6 things you should do! After walking in the rain

      The rainy season can often feel like the weather is playing tricks on us. Just as you’re about to leave the house in the morning, it suddenly starts pouring. Then, by the time you’re ready to go home in the evening, the rain comes down again, leaving you soaked. Living in constant rain like this can easily make you sick. To help you stay healthy, here are 6 things you should do after getting caught in the rain.

•  If you can’t change clothes right away, quickly dry your hair and make sure your clothes are as dry as possible.  
• When you get home, immediately remove wet clothes, socks, and shoes. Wearing wet clothing can make you feel cold, catch a cold, or even develop pneumonia. Wet clothes can also become a breeding ground for bacteria.  
• Take a shower and wash your hair immediately. Rainwater often contains dust, dirt, and bacteria, so it’s important to clean your body thoroughly with warm water to help you stay warm.  
• Wash your feet thoroughly with soap, and consider using a scrub or salt to exfoliate. Walking through dirty water can lead to fungal infections, such as athlete’s foot.  
• Soak your feet in warm water if you want to relax and warm up your body. After soaking, dry your feet thoroughly and apply talcum powder to keep them comfortable.  
• Drink a warm cup of herbal tea, such as mint tea, or a glass of ginger tea to restore warmth to your body and boost your immune system. Herbal teas have antibacterial properties that can help protect you from germs and bacteria.

      Taking care of your health during the rainy season helps build immunity and reduces the risk of illnesses that come with the rain. While it’s inevitable to be under the sky during the rainy season, don’t forget to carry an umbrella when you go out. If the rain is too heavy, it’s better to wait for it to stop before you travel to avoid getting sick or risking an accident.
